Featured New Gallery-Rural West Michigan

Having lived in New York City for the past decade, most of my photographic work has been urban in nature. While traveling home to Michigan, where I grew up, I decided I wanted devote some of my time to a more rural photographic venture. However, I wanted to photograph a place I was so familiar with as if I were a photojournalist who had never been there but wished to document life in a small American farming town. The result is an intimate look at a way of life I knew for many years, but is so different from the one I know now. These photographs were taken in or near Hesperia, Michigan in fall of 2010 and 2011.
